The kids and I left on Friday, so we could make it for cousin Morgan's baptism on Saturday morning. Eric came later the next week, after he got a little work done.
This trip Ward got his very own (hand-me-down with Amos' name on it) backpack. He felt pretty darn big.
Unfortunately, it didn't take long for his inner two-year-old to come out and he got banished to luggage riding.
We got to our gate way too early, and there weren't any seats! So, we set up camp on the floor. It wasn't too bad, actually.
I did have to let Ward start his "for the flight" movie early though.
Luckily, it carried over onto the plane.
These two are pros:
The even ordered their own diet cokes.
This guy had a more age-appropriate ginger ale.
I couldn't get any shots of Amos, because he was on the inside by the window with a stranger between us. He didn't make a peep the whole flight.
Once in Idaho, the fun began right away. The kids were in the pool within about 20 minutes of getting to Grammy and Grampy's house.
Like I mentioned before, the next morning was Morgan's baptism. Such a special day for her!
Morgan's Grandpa Iverson (and Grandma) were in town the occasion, and boy, was he a hit with my kids. They sure loved him!
After the baptism excitement settled down, we enjoyed a quiet week with Grammy, Grampy, and the Iversons. Grammy had a great sewing project for the kids. They each made a great little bag to hold their scriptures in when they take them to church.
There was lots of time playing outside. Car driving and trampoline tricks were a big hit.
We went to the movies and saw Cinderella (so good!)
And we visited the construction site for the Meridian (in Eagle) Temple. Very cool to see the process. Maggie is still carrying around her rock from the site in her pocket.
And then there was more pool time. This trip was Ward's first time really embracing the whole swimming thing. It was great.
My view wasn't too shabby either :)
Thanks for a great time, Idaho!
