Christmas morning came far too early. I think it's safe to say we were still on west coast time, since we got in late Christmas eve. At that rate, it was like 4 in the morning :( But, the kids were up and you can sleep when you're dead, so...
Actually, you'll notice Ward is missing. He didn't wake up even with all the noise, so we sent Amos up to get him. Amos came down and said he wouldn't wake up, so I sent Eric up to get him. We waited. And waited. Eric never came back. I started to panic a little on what I might find when I went up to get them both (because why would a grown man disappear?)...I found Eric had gotten into bed with Ward and they were both fast asleep. I made Eric come downstairs for Christmas, but as soon as that was done he went promptly back to bed.
There was no going back to bed for the rest of us, so we headed to the pool. At like 7:30 a..m. I REALLY need to figure out how to bottle and sell my kids' energy.
Eventually our cousins, Grammy, Grampy, Ward, and even Eric joined us at the pool. We had some great swim time before doing a little Christmas service project.
Operation Tic Tac:
The Hornes were probably the weakest link of the project, but we did a little good.
For dinner, Aunt Kate gets mad props. She arranged with the resort for use of their screening room and we had a huge feast with awesome food and a little movie time. She also took these pictures that I stole from her blog:
It was pretty dang fun. And so delicious.
After dinner we hustled the kids into bed so they'd be ready for an early start at the Magic Kingdom the next morning. We laid out their park gear, and they were soon fast asleep. I went next door to hang with my sisters for a bit. Upon my return to our house, I was shocked to find Maggie dressed and ready to go! Apparently she'd fallen asleep from like 8-10 p.m. and thought she'd woken up the next morning! She was pretty darn sad to learn she had a whole night's sleep still ahead of her.
