I want lips

Audrey tells me,

"I want lips"

Like a million times a day. Tonight, she took matters into her own hands and gave herself lips.

Amazingly enough, when Maggie saw her, she wanted some too.

A low-key Par-tay!

Just a few quick pictures from Wardie's family party...there were presents (courtesy of Nan and Pop) and there was cake.  He liked it all!

The ONE boy!

Ward turned one year old today!  (Well, very early this morning).  It's hard to believe it's been an entire year since he totally took us by surprise.  In all fairness, the first year of his life has also been one of the craziest for the rest of the family too.

We love Wardie, and he's totally a little prince.  Georgie has nothing on him ;)

We don't have too much planned for today. He'll have a "big" party in a couple weeks, my final 1st birthday party (which, it turns out, are the only ones I like since I don't have to give the the guest of honor any input).

Happy birthday Wardie, you are one VERY loved boy!

Quiet Time

While I was writing my last post, Audrey and Wardie were playing quietly in the office with me.  Too quietly, if you know what I mean.  The silence was finally broken by Audrey:

"I want Wardie to take a bath."

A bath indeed.  She was pretty proud of herself for giving him a marker with no top on it.

Advance to Polliwog

The kids finished up swim lessons yesterday.  To say they had a great time would be an understatement.  They were in the same "Pike" class, with two other little girls (one of which will go to Maggie's school, so we made a friend!).

I never did take my camera to swim class.  No one else ever had one, and it made me wonder if it was allowed...there are so many rules here!  I break them all the time without realizing it and it stresses me out.  Anyway, I did try to get some pictures before class at the house one day.  It turned out hilarious...

Trying to get Amos and Maggie...

And Audrey was having none of that...

And neither was Wardie...

Amos turned into this super motivated "I'm going to swim" kid.  I swear, this summer he just makes up his mind he's going to learn something and then he learns it.  Between swim classes, he took many baths so he could practice holding his breath under water.  It paid off though, because Amos can swim.  When I register him for fall, he'll be a "polliwog."  Maggie is close, but she'll stay a "pike."  I was really proud of her, she's come a long way from the girl who had to sit in time out most of the class.

For scrapbooking purposes, their report cards:

Poultry

I think I have failed to mention that our "chicken" farm has turned into a "poultry" farm.  Now we're the proud owners, and chasers, of turkeys!

Things should get real interesting come Thanksgiving...
