The cutest thing you ever saw

Tonight Amos called me and said, "mom, you have to come see this, it's the cutest thing you ever saw!!!!"

Who knew two pillows and a baby doll swing frame could be cute at all?

We're precious...

...And super exhausted from trying to keep the house looking like a picture from a magazine.

Seattle ready

All of toys r' us and this girl wanted nothing but this umbrella.

Maggie had the quote of the day: this place is magic! It must be our kingdom!

She also picked an umbrella.

The key

Another day on the market down. We had a meager 4 showings today :p

Seriously though, somebody better put their money where their eyes are soon, because I don't know how long the kids and I can sustain this schedule.

In related news, we got house keys today! We have never had house keys (and never cared to), but it seems to be something that might matter to other people. So, we give the people what they want.

Everyone likes a pretty girl

Today was the house's first official day on the market, and boy, did she have a full dance card.  We had five showings!

I have to say, I feel so unbelievably blessed with how smoothly everything went.  There were a few kinks, but that's inevitable.

I let the first family to look in, and they had two boys, just about Amos' age.  When I saw them, I thought, "oh my gosh! they would love it here."  I didn't say it out loud, but I should have, because I am sure of it.  I am grateful that we have taken such good care of our house, and have filled it with so much fun and love, that we can proudly pass it on.

I also felt pretty dang good when I heard six "wows!" in the time it took me to get out the back door.  One was even from their Realtor.

Yesterday morning Amos woke us all up at 5 a.m. singing, "I can't find the sunrise," because it was totally still dark!  This morning, he woke us up telling Maggie she had to clean up so that coach could come (Amos' t-ball and soccer coach is our Realtor).

Maybe in Seattle the kids will learn to sleep in...

Photo bombed

Killing time at Costco while our house gets shown...I'm not even sure who photo bombed who?

Unfortunately, we live here.

Today was the first day I really had it in my mind, if our realtor called, what would a prospective buyer find at our house in an hour?

I thought that thought a lot during the day, and it was rough.

I've often considered a "disaster of the day" series for my blog, because, well, there is a disaster at our house.  Every. Single. Day. The three amigos are constantly doing weird and bizarre things, that usually result in a big mess.

Today, it happened to be a sink left running.  I won't even say which kid, since it could have been any of them.  The result was drawers with about two inches of water sitting in them.  And some soggy toiletries.

In the end, the bathroom ended up much cleaner than it was to begin with and lots of really old stuff got tossed.

All's well that ends well, right?

Just in case, I moved the kids out to the deck for the duration of the home selling process.

G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S

Mags is one stylin' girl. She's dressing herself these days. In case ya couldn't tell.

House for Sale!

I've already dropped the bomb on Facebook, but in case you're not on there, we're moving!

Eric would say, "I've accepted a position..."  But I say, "Eric got a dope new job!"

As you're probably tired of hearing, Seattle is our city.  I briefly glossed over our trip to Seattle in January, here, as it was not time to tell yet.  But, starting in March, Eric will be working for Amazon, in downtown Seattle.  See, DOPE!

Right now, we're very torn between doing the work required to move us and our entourage to another state, and doing all of the things we love in Utah one last time.  Turns out, when it actually comes down to leaving Utah, I am MUCH sadder than I ever thought I'd be.  Against all odds, I've fallen for this place.

I hope to document this whole process, because I am sure it's going to be a circus, but for now, I'll leave you with this...

You know you want to live here ;)

Lately we've been up to a whole bunch of nothing.  But it's a cute nothing.  Wardie continues to be a human doll:

And there are so many rescue bots:

A beautiful fashion place

Earlier this week, I took the girls to get their hair cut.  We went to the salon where my friend, Melanie, works in Provo.  It's a super cute salon, and Melanie is very, very, very, good.  I'll totally give you her number if you're looking for someone...

Anyway, when we walked into the salon, Maggie said, "oooooh!  This is a beautiful fashion place!"  She was smitten.  She loved sitting and being treated like a princess.

Both girls loved getting their hair done, and I could tell they felt cute.  I love seeing that in them.  Not that we're all about looks here, but I love seeing them feel special.

I didn't take before shots, but I am pretty sure you all know what they usually look like.  Raggedy.

I love that my girls and I can do stuff like this together.  We've only begun to scratch the surface of girl time.
