There was one bright spot in our Epcot day-Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. I read about it on the Internet whilst trying to figure out how to get reservations for Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom (which I didn't get, after trying nearly every day for 6 months).
I really like the "character dining experiences" and would highly recommend doing one during a trip to Disney. It really takes the pressure off waiting in those crazy lines to get a picture. Basically, you take a picture with the keynote character on your way in (in this case, Belle) and then as you eat, other characters visit your table, chat for a minute and then pose for pictures. I definitely prefer to be sitting and eating while waiting in line ;)
The pictures at this one pretty much speak for themselves:
This is my ultimate favorite:
Upon the Princesses entrances, they did a parade with all of the kids around the restaurant. Simple, yes. Super cute, yes.
Oh, look, she can be happy:
This guy enjoyed himself too:
I was just happy to have diet cokes brought to me ;)
