We had a great Thanksgiving. I have finally become secure enough to just admit that cooking is not my thing. I don't like it, and I am not doing it anymore. Especially on high pressure occasions, say, like Thanksgiving, when the meal is the event.
So, Eric kindly made us reservations at Zermatt in Midway, and we had a glorious Thanksgiving free of dishes. Not free of laundry though. Auds did a number on her sweater. The bright red jello on the kids' table was a good idea in theory...
Amos passed most of the meal taking pictures. He actually managed a few cool ones:
Maggie was super hilarious running around to the different buffet tables. Each time she would come back with some very specific thing that she had very carefully chosen. My personal favorite was the single cracker with the single cube of cheese. Love that girl!
After lunch/linner/whatever you want to call it, we wandered Zermatt and I tried to get a Christmas card worthy photo of the kids. So. Not. Happening. Little turkeys.
Thanksgiving night Eric and I headed out for "Black Friday" at Target. IT. WAS. AWESOME. Target runs a tight ship, and frankly, it was nice shopping amongst people with a purpose (as opposed to the usual lolly-gaggers in Orem). Walmart, on the other hand, was awful. We won't be doing that again. They have better deals online anyway.
So, that's it for Thanksgiving. Bring on Christmas!
