A few weeks ago I overheard Amos chanting, "B-Y-U! B-Y-U! B-Y-U!" I was SHOCKED. He's certainly never heard anything like that around this house. Turns out, some friends at preschool come from BYU loving households and they taught him. It was mostly funny to me, since even though I went to BYU, I don't feel connected to it in anyway (least of all through sports!).
Following chanting-gate, Amos and I had a talk about how that was my school and he could go there too someday. He liked that idea a lot. Someday came sooner than we all thought...
This morning I had an errand to run on campus and I took all the kids with me. It was a far cry from my college days pushing four tiny people in a stroller ;) (sidenote: if you need something framed, the framing place in the basement of the BYU Bookstore is awesome).
As we walked through the Wilk, Amos and Maggie were so excited to see the computer labs, bowling alley, and Cougareat. At one point Amos said,
"You sure went to an awesome school, Mom."
I felt cool.
Anyway, the kids talked me into some BYU swag, and they're pretty excited about it. Amos kept telling Ward that he was at BYU. So funny. Maybe all four kids will be enrolled there together someday...
