I've noticed myself saying "good grief" A LOT lately. It's pretty fitting really. Life has been full of all kinds of good grief, and we've been having a pretty good time.
Nan and Pop came for their annual 4th of July trip (more on that to come), and it could not have been a moment too soon. There is NOTHING like having the support and help of family, especially when it comes to the kids.
The deck work carries on...we've hit that lull where we're just ready for it to be done. Eric worked so hard on it last week, but risking a heat stroke in the high temps just wasn't worth it. The flooring is 98% laid, so there is a safe path to the slide now. As opposed to this:
Yeah, that was a little bit of a stress for me.
Our sweet neighbor gave us a swing to hang off the deck, and the kids are loving it. It's meant for a baby, but that doesn't bother them one bit:
Audrey is the cutest in it for sure.
I haven't been great about taking pictures (I cannot stand to be outside for even a second), so here's the trex ready to be installed:
And then, some random pictures of the kids, but it's the best I have of the deck right now:
(That's what they looked like on the 4th of July, by the way).
Lunch is calling, and by "lunch" I mean three kids who want lunch, so I'd better get to it. Happy heat wave!
