Swim Lessons, Week 2
We finished swim lessons last week, and things went about the same as they did the first week. Amos did really well. Not only did he make it back to level 2, but he's ready for level 3. Maggie, on the other hand, never quite got the listening thing down. Things looked ok from where I was watching, but on the last day of class Amos said,
"I don't want sit by the lifeguard."
When I asked what he meant, he pretty much said when you don't listen you have to go sit on the edge of the pool by the lifeguard. Guess who spent most of her time on the edge of the pool?
Amos' survival float:
(I don't think there's supposed to be splashing).
Audrey was amazing during all of this. She just hung out with me and watched. I was so surprised she didn't ask to go in the water once. Or throw any fits about being left out.
The last day of class they give the kids a Popsicle. I am pretty sure that was Amos' favorite part, though it might have been a tie with his goggles.
I really think we could use another couple weeks of lessons this summer, but we'll have to see if we can fit them in. Either way, it was good while it lasted.
