I've been a bit MIA lately, but in all the best ways. I got back from a girls' weekend to Vegas (AWESOME!), just in time to send Eric and Amos off to Pennsylvania to see Nan and Pop Horne for Thanksgiving.
While explaining to Maggie that she didn't get to go see Nan and Pop, I told her,
"It's ok, we're going to have fun here. It'll be a princess party."
Well, she took me at my word, and insisted on a princess party. We're lucky to have good friends who were up for a princess party. The Browns totally made the party and the girls had a great time.
We dressed them up in their princess outfits, pulled out the special table, and served them tiny sandwiches with fancy toothpicks and the crusts cut off. There was twirling and disney princess movie music. It was so cute to see them sitting and eating and enjoying each other's company.
The highlight might have been when Brecklynn said,
"Princesses don't throw food!"
She doesn't know Princess Maggie I guess ;)
Another highlight was the addition of a new princess:
Audrey sat at the table with the big girls and had the best time. It was adorable.
We might not be on "boycation," but we know how to party.
