A party with friends

Saturday we had the BEST birthday party ever.  It is the first party I've let the kids control.  It was hard for me, but those apples didn't fall far from the tree-they did a great job party planning.  The party was an actual kid party, and Amos and Maggie compiled the guest list.  They invited all of their "best friends."

I did choose the location, but I am sure if given the choice, they would choose Jumpin' Jacks too.  We picked the jungle room for their party, so we ran with the jungle theme.  Perfect for boys an girls!  All of the kids loved the animals.

First things first, the invitations:

We attached them to jungle chia pets we found at the Target dollar spot, and voila! Perfect.  All the kids loved their new pets, though I think the moms could have done without the non-washable paint. China.

As for the party room, it looked like this:

And, then there were the party people:

I can't believe how well all of the kids got along.  They had so much fun together and everyone was so well behaved (the only whining came from the Horne kids).  Some final miscellaneous pictures:

It was a great day, and I am so grateful we were able to share it with such good friends.  And Amos was glad his friends were there.

Love it! Wish we could have been there. It looks like it was the perfect party. I love the decorations and the cup cake tree- did you do that? It's all impressive!

What a fun place for a party! It looks like everyone had a blast. I love your idea to send around a little gift with the invitation--adorable! And I love that cupcake tree, too!
