A Birthday with Presents and No Friends

Amos is 4!

It's hard to believe, but then again, he's so "old" now, I suppose it fits.  Today, we had our family party for him.  When talking to Grammy and Grampy in the DR, he said, "Tonight I had my birthday with presents and no friends."  Hah.

He was supposed to get a dollar store birthday like Audrey did, but Eric arrived at the dollar store too early and the only place to kill time was Sportsman's Warehouse.  Again, hah.

Maggie was such a good sport about Amos getting all of the presents.  She was the perfect assistant, handing him his next present to open each time.  She also dressed herself for the occasion, in a "birthday dress."

Audrey was there too.

We had beets for dinner.

As was Dave.

Amos gave Dave the BIGGEST hug as a thank you for the truck Dave gave him. I missed it because Eric was in the way.

And Nan and Pop.

Since we've been having our fair share of cake this week, we switched to brownies tonight.  Brownies are Amos' favorite, so it worked out.

Notice anything wrong? I am so tired.

For some unknown reason, Amos felt that his cake wasn't complete until it had crackers on it.  Eh, it's his birthday.  He ate his brownie cracker and all.

A very successful party with presents and no friends if you asked me.

Amos looks so old! And I must be super tired too- it took me awhile to figure out if Amos was spelled wrong or if it was the backwards four?

He is super cute! Can we start the informal marriage arranging at this point? Too soon? It seems like yesterday that you and I were complaining about our swollen ankles ;) Happy birthday to Amos!
