First MG Rescue

I'm back!  It has been an amazing/hard/exhausting/exciting/fun couple of weeks.  Before we get into all of that though, I have to backtrack a little to cover a couple pictures I found on my camera.

To get things started: my first MG rescue.  It's a long running joke in our family that when my Dad goes out for a car ride in one of his MGs, you just wait for the phone to ring letting you know he's ready to be rescued somewhere.  British cars aren't known for their reliability, so it just comes with the territory of being an MG enthusiast.  It's part of the appeal for some, I think.

Eric was very thoughtful and enrolled in AAA when he started taking MGs excursions, so we knew he'd never be stranded anywhere for too long.  He's never had to use it though (knocking so hard on wood).  His first (and only) breakdown happened just 5 minutes from our house.  Calling AAA seemed like a waste, so he called his trusty wife who would never be annoyed by such a thing =)

Actually, I got really lucky.  I called a very good friend and she came over so I didn't have to load all the kids up and take them with.  I towed a car for the very first time, and I think I did an excellent job.

The MG is home safe and sound and waiting for parts.
