...and it feels so good! So cliche, but SO true. Last week Eric and Amos left us for 8 WHOLE DAYS to go fishing (and do a little work) in Pennsylvania. I was so excited for the break from Amos (love him, but he is exhausting), but it ended up being a sad week for us. I had no idea how much I would miss the boys. The girls and I found ourselves accomplishing nothing day after day. It was sort of amazing. We wore our pajamas all day, every day, with the exception of Maggie, who went nakedy. We managed to get on a terrible schedule and eat nothing but junk. Looking back, it was pretty great.
Anyway, the boys have come back to us, and we are all so glad. We have managed to stay on two entirely separate schedules, which means I am the real loser...Amos is up early, Maggie is up late. Amos crashes out at the funniest times, and Maggie is wide awake. Like at dinner tonight:
It looks cute, but it was really annoying that she kept telling me to be quiet.
Audrey is really happy to have Amos back. She LOVES how much he talks to and plays with her. She's even getting on board with assisted tummy time:
Amos and Maggie are back to being the best of buds (when they are awake at the same time):
It makes me so glad that they have each other.
Next year I'll do better at enjoying Girls' Week. Promise.
