As far as the talks and messages, I had a realization--sometimes when Amos doesn't not want to take a nap, I try to reason with him about why it's important ("it will help you grow big and strong, it'll help you be healthy"). On occasion, when he really doesn't want to nap, he'll cry and cry: "I don't to be strong! I don't want to be healthy!"
Back to my realization--sometimes when I am listening to conference and the messages of the speakers who really only want what's best for me, my natural self yells: "I don't want to be strong! I don't want to be healthy!"
I thought all of the messages were great, even if they challenge me to be better in the "it hurts" kind of way.
Another really exciting part of conference for me, was that my friend Desiree had her General Conference debut with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! It is a BIG deal for her (well, for anyone), and we couldn't be more proud. My admiration is threefold:
1. She is truly living her dream.
2. She is going to touch so many lives.
3. She rocks the Mo-tab wardrobe =)
We got to see her lots and lots of times, but here's the best shot I saw:

Final thoughts from General Conference:
Women are awesome, the Church's welfare program is awesome, they're building a Temple in Meridian, ID!, the women that spoke were much less high pitched than usual (an awesome improvement), Elder Holland rocked it, I want to go to the Temple in Rome, there are a lot of redheads in the Motab, toddlers and conference don't mix, and I believe in Christ.
