Thanksgiving Recap

We had a great Thanksgiving in Eagle last week.  The drive there was a little more exciting than I would have liked, so I passed the time not looking out the windows.  It's really unnerving to be driving down a road with cars and trucks littered in the median from sliding off.  Our usual 5-6 hour drive took 9 hours, but we made it.  The kids were absolute champs and Aunt Meg didn't complain too much either.

Once we made it to Grammy and Grampy's it was all fun from there.  Amos and Maggie LOVE their cousins and Grandparents.  One of my favorite things from this trip were Amos and Maggie's trips to feed the chickens.  My parents were chicken-sitting for a neighbor, and Grampy took the kids with him when he went to feed the chickens.  They loved it.

Other than actual Thanksgiving we kept busy seeing a movie, going to Donnie Mac's, and a BSU basketball game (Amos still thinks he went to see a band).  The kids got to eat in the car at Donnie Mac's and the adults got to eat alone.  I don't know who was more excited about their dining experience.

I should also mention that Eric and I celebrated our 5th (count 'em, 5!) anniversary while we were in Boise.  We had a great night out kid and worry free.  We're so grateful and so very blessed.

The drive home only took 7 hours, and that included our 1 hour wait on the side of the interstate waiting for the road to re-open.  I've never experienced anything like that before, but it probably won't be the last time since winter trips to Idaho seem inevitable.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, now bring on Christmas!
