Fun, fun, fun

We just finished an extra special visit.  Grandma and Grandpa Shaver came to visit, which is always exciting, but they brought with them cousins Morgan and Carrie, and Aunt Anna.  We had a full house that tested the capacity of our guest quarters, kitchen, and cars.  We had such a great, worry free time, and I hope our visitors did too.

Their trip was quick, but we packed in a ton of activities (most of which I didn't take pictures of).

The travelers arrived Sunday evening just in time for dinner and a little belated birthday cake for Aunt Meg.

Monday we went to Park City and enjoyed a beautiful day at the Alpine Slides.  All of the kids were good sports and tried the slides.  Turns out they all loved it, so they went again and again.  The big kids loved the zipline and the roller coaster too, and the little kids loved the other rides like the carousel, train, and airplanes.  It was a perfect mix of big kid/little kid activities and everyone had fun.

Tuesday we tried to go to Seven Peaks, but so many of the rides were closed it didn't seem worth it.  So, we came home and played in the kiddie pool in the backyard.  We also visited BYU campus and checked out the bookstore, library, and the creamery.  Tuesday night we headed up Hobble Creek Canyon to "our" spot for tinfoil dinners, rock throwing, and general outdoors-ness.

This morning everybody cleaned the house and then they headed back to Boise so Carrie could go to her middle school (!) orientation tonight.

The rest of our time was full of cousin sleepovers, movies, playing in the playroom, and eating =) We're glad they think we're worth the drive, we loved having them!
