Volume 2

I have ALWAYS wanted to write words that would touch people's hearts and souls (sounds cheesy, but I am being serious).  I think that's what drew me to journalism. I wanted to write words that would help people understand what was happening in the world around them.  Unfortunately, my weak heart couldn't take the hard things that happen every day and I chose another path.  My desire to write is still very real though.  Eric tells me to start my book all the time. I am not sure what I am waiting for.  So far, I've named my main character: Margot.

Yesterday it occurred to me, I have started my book.  Margot isn't in it though.  It stars Eric, Amos, Maggie, and Laura (the omniscient narrator).  I am pretty sure there will be more main characters, and the supporting characters are plentiful.  The other thing that occurs to me now: this book will touch hearts and souls.  Not only will it touch hearts and souls, but it will be those of the people I love the most.  What more could I ask for?

My newest blog book arrived in the mail today.  304 pages of Horne history.  Transferring my blog into book form felt like a long project, but boy, was it worth it.  It looks great sitting on the shelf next to Volume 1 too =)

There is no greater gift you could give your children, their children, their children and on forever.

So fun. I am working on our 2009 book too. It is a long process but definitely worth it!
