Oh, I've been a terrible blogger!  The simple truth: the Little People are running me ragged.  We have had a couple of the hardest, yet most rewarding, weeks together these past couple weeks.  Life seems to have become a smiling blur.

Amos and Maggie are so challenging, but they are so sweet at the same time.  We have been teaching Amos about prayer, er, well, we've been teaching for a while, but he's just starting to catch on.  Anyway, I swear just when I am about to lose it because he's done something awful/destructive, I'll catch him with his arms folded, his head bowed mumbling.  His prayers go something like this: "Mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble, mumble, AMEN!"

Maggie has become her brother's sidekick.  They are quite the duo, and I am afraid the combination of her brains and his brawn, and well, they're going to be tough to stop.

In case you're thinking, "wow! Maggie eats whole carrots," she does not.  Her brother gave it to her.  He doesn't eat them either.  He just knows how to open the fridge and finds the produce drawer particularly fascinating.

And, when the world runs out of clean water, please know that the Horne children and their incessant need to shower are probably entirely to blame:

Sheesh!  Save some for the fish...

I love the carrot picture and the shower one. It made me laugh out loud in the library and made my day.
