Yo-yo

Oh, I've been putting this one off for a long time...actually, I was waiting for some good news before I posted.  Here it goes...

Some of you have noticed my "healthy living" counter on my sidebar and asked about it.  For those who didn't notice/care, you get to hear about it now.

At the beginning of this year I made a New Year's Resolution to pay attention to a lot of things, with my weight/health being a big focus.  I did awesome January-March and lost about 20 lbs.  About April, I quit paying attention, the stress of selling a house and some other things got to me and I lost total control.  I gained back 25 lbs.  I know, good one.  Today, I am happy to say that this yo-yo has started another down swing =)

In September, I got back on track and I have re-lost about 10 lbs so far (in spite of a family vacation full of wonderful food).  I am feeling much better being in charge of myself again.  I know, its a lot of drama and some of your are thinking it shouldn't be so hard, but I am un-doing 25 years of horrible habits.  Its going to take longer than 1 year to fix it, and I am ok with that.  I am learning, and besides, it'll give me another New Year's resolution for next year.

Thanks for reading and wish me luck this holiday season...

I completely know how you feel! This semester I have put on almost 15 pounds!!! Between dating a twig who eats constantly, and being too busy with school and work to cook very often, it has been a nightmare! I decided I don't want to graduate fat (well, my version of fat) so I am going to try doing a bootcamp! It's going to mean early mornings, but I remember how in-shape I was in high school when I had someone making me do stuff. So I'm hoping it will be enough to get my butt in gear!!! Good luck to you, we should try to keep each other on track!

Trying to keep up with boys is a very bad idea...we're not going to talk about the specific numbers behind my husband weight =(

Good luck with the boot camp! You can do it. We should definitely help each other...
