Day 2-Beach Day

On Day 2 of our Florida vacation we slept in (kind of) and then headed over to Melbourne to meet Liz's friend, Carol, and her family.  Liz and Carol have been friends since High School, and Carol proved a very awesome tour guide/travel companion/photographer.  We met at Steak and Shake for lunch, made a quick stop to see if we could find some manatees, and then headed to the beach.

Amos was a little nervous about the waves at first, but with some encouragement from Eric he grew more confident.  Amos like playing in the sand and water, but Maggie really loved it.

It was a cloudy day, but not nearly as cold as we all look:

This would be our family picture for the Christmas card, but Amos is dressed like a girl:

Amos was watching Liz dress Morgan, and he really wanted to get dressed too.  So, Liz put the only shirt she had on him.  She didn't know we'd have such a hard time trying to get the shirt off of him:

Thankfully, after he got all wet in the ocean he let us take it off:

I always hated the beach as a kid, but I am glad we got to go this one day.  It wasn't that bad, and you can't go to Florida and not go to the beach, right?
