In All Their Glory

I know it was very rude to mention the art we made for the family room and to not actually show it. Truthfully, our camera is so terrible I didn't think I would be able to get any decent pictures. Which, was true.  The colors are off, and something is wrong with the focus? You've probably noticed it from other posts, I don't know what happened, but most pictures are turning out blurry. Bleh. Anyway, here they are, in all their glory:

My sister, Liz, found those great pillows for us, and when I saw them I knew those were the colors I wanted. So, we did our best to find some coordinating fabric for the canvasses that wasn't too matchy-matchy.

The camera's focus seems to work close-up?

So, what we've determined is that the family room needs more of something. We're not sure quite what. Its a very big, plain room. It also gets a lot of wear. We need a theme. "Teal and brown" isn't cutting it. I love the colors, but something is missing.

What if you put up some white crown molding to kind of "frame" the room?

Good idea Annie! We were thinking about some bead-board wainscoting, but I am not sure I am up for the work (or tearing apart our brand new room).

We may just settle on some shevles...
