A New Frontier=Eating

First I should say that Amos has learned to access the previously too high kitchen counters by pushing the kitchen chairs over and climbing up them.

So, yesterday Amos got a brand new loaf of bread, chewed through the plastic and then ate the centers out of the entire loaf. I was alerted to the fact that he had done this when he brought me armfuls of crusts.

Today he took one, yes, just one, bite out of every tomato in this very large bowl of tomatoes. I guess that's what I get for procrastinating roasting/canning/using them.

He even bit out of Eric's prized beefsteak that wasn't in the bowl:

Hilarious! I guess this is the one time I am thankful that Oliver is not into tomatoses.

Correction - it was my prized Amish Heirloom tomatoe - a strain that I've been looking forward to all year. That was the first ripe tomato we got from the two vines we planted.

You should be thanking Amos for checking the freshness and the acidity level of the bread and tomatoes. He could have a career as a food taster. Teach him to spit out the food.
