Amos has gotten very cool lately. Ok, he's always been cool (remember when he jumped out of his crib?), but even cooler.
Sooooo...last night he pulled a kitchen chair over to the corkboard where we hang all the car keys, got down the keys, went out into the garage, got in the car, turned on the hazards, and stuck the key in the ignition. After all that, he came back in the house and said, "beep, beep." When he noticed Maggie's abandoned bottle we had this conversation:
A: "Whey dah dough Aggie?" (Where did Maggie go?).
L: "Maggie went to bed."
A: "Oh, nigh, nigh" (Oh, night, night).
A: "Bye, bye" (Bye, Bye).
Then, he went back to play "Beep, beep" in the "ruck."
A little later I was puttering around in our closet and Amos and Eric were in our room watching t.v. I really can't remember what they were talking about, but they were chatting like best buds.
I've said before that I think Amos already hit the "terrible twos," mostly because of some new found tantrum throwing abilities. Yes, I've been that mom, with the kid kicking and screaming on the floor of the store blocking the entire aisle, more times than I'd like to admit (like all over the PC outlets yesterday). BUT, I will take it if it means getting to talk with this little guy, even if its about rucks.
