My Baby Daddy
I just want to take a moment on Father's Day to talk a little bit about my baby daddy, and yes, it is Eric.
I knew I always loved Eric, from the night of our first date on I knew he was special. When we got married I was thrilled, but I don't think I knew how much I could really love him until I got to know him as a father. On one of our first dates he told me how much he wanted kids (and that he would love it if his wife died, and he was left alone as a single Dad. Weirdo! Don't worry, he's since retracted that statement). I wasn't so sure I was into kids, and I think that made him worry about me as a wife a little bit. Thankfully he got me to change my mind, because I know neither one of us could become the person we really need to be without becoming parents first. I am also very grateful for the balance Eric provides in our family. There are many, many things that he will introduce our children too that I would never dream of. I am glad he will take them hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, etc. He will even teach them how to start fires in the backyard.
Anyway, I love Eric, he gives everything he has for this family, and I am so grateful for that.
