Well, we lived just a little this weekend. We got up and went to the Art City Days parade on Saturday morning, and I am so glad we did. It was really fun to see Amos get so excited about the floats, people, animals, etc. We taught him to run out and grab the candy they threw, but he wasn't so into tootsie rolls or bit o' honeys. He also HATED the sirens and the cops on motorcycles made him a bit nervous too. Eh, He'll grow into it. Maggie, of course, was a perfect little angel. She sat in her stroller and sucked on her toy the whole time. She did eventually fall asleep, and managed to sleep through all the bands playing, etc.
For some reason I mostly took pictures of Maggie:
And one weird one of Amos:
After the parade we came home and put the kids down for naps. We had every intention of going back out to Art City days when they woke up, but it didn't happen. We worked in the basement a little (with supplies we already had), and then had a quiet dinner at home. At 7 p.m. I was so tired I just wanted to sleep, so I decided I would take a nap, not caring that I was going to wake up at 10 p.m. ready to be awake all night. Well, I didn't wake up until 8 a.m. the next morning. Yes, that's right, I slept from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.! Yikes. Its good to be me.
