Eric is my hero/Costco run

This week has been a little nuts. Early in the week, Amos and Eric came down with the death plague flu. I had my flu shot on Monday, so I thought I might be exempt. No such luck. Eric looked extremely miserable while he had it, and I tried my best to help him, but it wasn't until I had it myself that I wished I had done a lot more for him. While he was sick, I got him 1 glass of water from the kitchen. While I was sick, he went to Walmart at 4 a.m. for medicine, ginger ale, and apples. While he was sick, I let him go to bed early. While I was sick, he cleaned the whole house, did laundry, and made dinner. Sadly, I could go on comparing the inequities of our bedside manner, but I'll stop for my own sake.

Today we're all feeling better, so we ventured to Costco to do a little pre-new baby stocking up. (We tried to keep the remainder of any germs we might still have to ourselves.) Amos pretty much hates sitting in the cart, but today we discovered if you put a bag of raw cranberries next to him, he will burrow in it until he can get them out. Then, he will eat them. Happily.

For the record, there is such an excessive amount of diapers in our cart because there was actually a coupon for diapers this month at costco. There are NEVER coupons for diapers, so I had to take advantage of the opportunity.

I swear the extra-large boxes of diapers make it look much worse than it is.

Anna will be home very soon! She hasn't met Amos, and we may very well have a second baby by the time she gets back.
