We get up early.

Too early. I realized how ridiculously early it was when the little frog and ladybug on my iGoogle home page were still asleep in their sleeping bags under the full moon. I have seen the frog and ladybug by the campfire, having squirt gun fights, and playing on a slip and slide, but never EVER have they been asleep.

Amos has started a new habit of going to bed for the night at 4 p.m. It started innocently enough, we put him down for a nap and realized as we were getting ready for bed that he never woke up. He slept until 4 a.m. that night. Don't get me wrong, 12 hours is not bad, but the specific 12 hours were very bad. I was in no mood to be up for the day at 4 a.m. This happened 3 nights in a row. Last night, I'd had enough. I forced him to stay awake until 7:00 p.m. It wasn't pretty. There was much fussiness involved. He slept until 6:00 a.m. this morning! I considered it a huge victory. Until I saw the frog and ladybug that is.

Amos, wide awake, at 6:00 a.m.:

The plus side to all of this, is that I got to see my wife and son before leaving for work. Welcome to the early life! The world's a better place before 6 am.

I'm not sure I agree with Eric :) Good thing I see no kids in my near future. I hit my sleep button for an hour, and still fight myself to get up. I will sleep in for you :) as if that helps either of us....

how can he get cuter????? is that red or blonde hair????

careful with the 4am's. i can see how that is a plus and a minus.

motherhood is in most ways WAY easier than everyone told us it was EXCEPT when it comes to the sleep deprevation. That is still SOOOOOO hard.
