Happy New Year!

I know, its a couple days late, but we've been busy catching up on our sleep. Eric and I both took naps earlier in the day, but it was still tough to make it to midnight on New Year's Eve. Luckily, David and Britni came over to help us make it to the peach drop. Yes, peach drop.

We played Settlers of Catan twice. Britni and David both took a turn at beating us. Between games of Catan we watched "Even Almighty." It was actually very funny, and I even found myself tearing up a little. That could have been the exhaustion though. Seriously though, its worth a rental if you just want to feel good.

We didn't completely betray tradition, we watched the ball drop in New York at midnight (recorded and replayed) and THEN we changed the channel and watched the peach drop in Atlanta. I was severely disappointed that the peach wasn't real, and was flat, but I'll get over it. You would think if anyone could come up with a cool peach to drop, it would be Georgia. It also took a very long time to drop, a minute as opposed to 10 seconds. A minute is a little too long to wait. I guess that's why I never knew there was a peach drop.

Baby New Year went to bed at 7:30.
